The smartphone is available for pre-order online via Flipkart, Amazon and Infibeam. However, Infibeam isn’t offering any special deals on pre-ordering

Pre-registrations for Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are commencing today, and the smartphones will go on sale from September 29. User’s can pre-order the smartphones from online retailers such as Flipkart, Amazon, Infibeam. We'll focus on Flipkart and Amazon for now, since that's where all the offers are. You can still pre-order from Infibeam, but the website isn't offering anything extra at the moment. It should also be noted that the phone can also be pre-ordered from offline retailers.

Coming to pre-booking offers, Amazon gives two distinct offers for early birds. The e-commerce platform has tied up with Reliance Jio, and buyers will get 70 percent buyback when they upgrade from their iPhone 8 or 8 Plus. While the offer can be available by anyone who purchases the device between September 29 and December 31, there’s a catch. The buyback is only applicable if the customer returns the product within the ‘Assured Buyback Period’ between September 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. Further, users will have to be active subscribers of Reliance Jio's services all through the one-year period. This can either be done by recharging for Rs 799 for a period of 12 months from the date of activation of IMEI of the product, or they can perform a one time yearly recharge of Rs 9,588. On top of this, it is only applicable on phones sold by Reliance Digital and customers will have to enroll for the offer via the MyJio app. Consumers can also avail a Rs 10,000 cashback with Citi credit and Citi World debit cards when they opt for this offer.

If users opt for the second offer, they can avail an extra Rs 10,000 off on exchange of their old iPhone. The extra discount is clubbed with exchange discount. With the second offer, users also get a no cost EMI option starting at Rs 5,344 per month. Apart from both the offers, there is also a 10 percent cashback offer if users buy the devices using an HDFC Debit or Credit Card.

On Flipkart, users can get upto Rs 23,000 off on exchanging their old device. However, when exchanging an old iPhone, consumers will get an extra Rs 3,000 over regular exchange. The e-commerce platform also is offering 10 percent off on SBI debit and credit cards and 5 percent off on Axis Bank Buzz credit cards. Other offers include 10 percent cashback on PhonePe payments and Rs 10,000 off on Citi Credit and World Debit Cards.

To recall, both the smartphones sport a rear glass panel and come with support for wireless charging support. The iPhone 8 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Retina HD screen, whereas the iPhone 8 features a more compact 4.7-inch Retina HD display. Both the devices sport a True Tone display. The new iPhone 8 sports a 12MP rear-facing camera with OIS, whereas the iPhone 8 Plus features two 12MP dual-rear cameras. Both the phones support 4K video recording and are available in three colour variants, namely Gold, Silver and Space Grey.
