The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will be available in India starting October 16. If you are one that doesn’t want to stand in line for the phone or is afraid of midnight sales stock out, then you can pre-order one starting today.
Those interested in pre-ordering an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus can do so on Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Infibeam, and Paytm. Customers can also pre-order the device via Vodafone stores. On Paytm, pre-orders are available on a flash sale model with a pre-booking fee.
On Snapdeal, consumers can pre-order the smartphones from today and pre-orders will carry on till October 14. On Amazon, consumers can receive exclusive offers from Vodafone such as free data and talk benefits when pre-ordering the iPhone 6s or the 6s Plus. Before the pre-orders officialy began a 182 iPhones were seized at the Delhi airport headed directly for the grey market .
Coming to the specifications of the smartphones, the iPhone 6s still retains the form factor of the iPhone 6. It has a 4.7-inch display with a 750×1334 pixel resolution. The smartphone boasts of 3D touch. Put simply, long pressing the display of the smartphone with varying pressure promts the smartphone to perform different actions. The smartphone runs on the Apple A9 chipset with a Dual-core 1.84GHz processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The rear has a 12MP camera and the front has a 5MP camera. The rear camera also has the ability to shoot video in 4K. The iPhone 6s will start at Rs. 62,000 for the 16GB variant where as the 64GB and 128GB variant of the iPhone 6s will be priced at Rs. 72,000 and Rs. 82,000 respectively.
Coming to the iPhone 6s Plus, the internals are the same as the iPhone 6s and the form factor is the same as the iPhone 6 Plus. The 6s Plus has a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The 6s Plus is priced at Rs. 72,000 for the 16GB variant and the 64GB and 128GB are priced at Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 respectively.
