By the end of the third quarter of this year, we expect to witness the release of upcoming iPhones. As the rumors have already pointed out, we might see Apple releasing two iPhones instead of just one. While the flagship iPhone 6 is expected to have a larger 4.7" display, Apple might also surprise us with an even larger phone with 5.5" display.
Till now, these have just been rumors, but looking at a video by TechSmartt and the photo revealed by Jimmy Lin on his Weibo account, the rumors do sound true. Singer, actor and racer, Jimmy Lin is seen fixing an iPhone 5S's screen in the photo. What catches our interest in the picture is a large Apple iPhone which kind of looks like the expected larger model even though its difficult to judge whether it is the 5.5" version iPhone.
On the other hand, young YouTube phone reviewer TechSmartt claims to have recieved dummies of the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhone models that are expected this year. The larger iPhone model actually looks bigger than the LG G3 and even Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as showcased in the video.
Dummies compared to the iPhone 5S
The 5.5-inch model even dwarfs the Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Earlier this month, Foxconn issued a press release in a surprising move and confirmed that the much talked about iPhones will be launced by Apple this year. The company also stated that 4.7-inch iPhone will be supplied by the Taiwanese manufacturer in July and start manufacturing the larger model in August.
The video by TechSmartt does provide some nice preview of what we can expect from Apple's iPhone this year in terms of build quality. Another interesting thing (apart from the larger displays) to note in the video is the thinness of the upcoming iPhones.
