Airtel, one of the telecom operators hosting the iPhone 4S in India, has disclosed the price of the much-anticipated device. Airtel is selling the 16GB variant of the iPhone 4S for Rs. 44,500, while the 32GB model is priced at Rs. 50,900. Currently, the 64GB model has not been listed, and it is possible the variant never hits the India market.
The telecom operator has also started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 4S from today. Tthe iPhone 4S is slated to hit the Airtel stores on November 25. Aircel, which first announced the iPhone 4S launch in India, has not yet started taking pre-orders (at the time of writing).
Airtel has also revised the rates of the iPhone 4. The 16GB variant of the iPhone 4 is now available for Rs. 35,000, while the 8GB iPhone 3GS is priced at Rs. 20,900. Meanwhile, neither Airtel nor Aircel has revealed bundled offers with the new iPhone 4S.
Apple had launched the iPhone 4S in the U.S. last month. The new iPhone 4S looks pretty similar to the iPhone 4 in design. The iPhone 4S comes with 1GHz dual-core processor with a better GPU, an 8MP f/2.4 camera with 1080p HD video recording, and improved battery life.
