iPhone 17 Pro design leaks reveal new camera bar with familiar triple camera: Here’s what we know
HIGHLIGHTS

The iPhone 17 Pro will keep the same triple-camera setup as the iPhone 16 Pro, but with a new rectangular camera bar.

The LiDAR scanner and LED flash are now aligned vertically on the right side of the camera module.

iOS 19 is expected to overhaul the Camera app, introducing a visionOS-like design with translucent menus.

The iPhone 17 Pro series is expected to see significant improvements in performance, display, camera, and design. Following a number of renders floating around the internet, a new cover design leaked ahead of the launch, revealing how the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera bar could look.

The new render shows that the iPhone 17 Pro will have the same triple camera layout as the iPhone 16 Pro. However, one can notice a new rectangular camera bar with rounded corners. Previously, a YouTube channel called Front Page Tech suggested that a new camera bar would be included with the iPhone 17 Pro series.

Additionally, the LiDAR scanner and LED flash are vertically aligned, but unlike the iPhone 16 Pro series, both are now located on the right side of the panel. The leaks also indicate that the camera bar will be darker than the rest of the rear body. However, it is still unclear whether Apple is thinking of making such a major shift in its design language.

According to MacRumors, which cites host Jon Prosser’s internal sources, the iPhone 17 Air will also feature a camera bar, albeit with a single camera. He also stated that he had seen the device firsthand, but did not confirm whether this would be the case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

He also stated that iOS 19 will include a major overhaul of the Camera app, with a visionOS-like design featuring translucent menus and buttons. While the exact design, features, and other details remain unknown, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series, which includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, in September. However, the exact release date remains unknown.
