Samsung is just a few days away from launching its most awaited Galaxy S25 series. The Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup will debut on January 22 and include the usual Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, there is one new model that has been surfacing on the internet through leaks and rumours – the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim. As the name suggests, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be a sleek smartphone that will pack all the flagship specifications just like other Galaxy S25 models.
On the other hand, a slimmer iPhone has also been rumoured for a long time now, and it is called the iPhone 17 Slim. Yes, you heard that right, with the iPhone 17 series, Apple may launch this new model, replacing the Plus model if rumoured are to be believed. According to Apple’s iPhone launch cycle, the iPhone 17 Air can debut this year in September.

The iPhone 17 Air can be launched at a starting price of $899 in the US, which would be the same as the Plus model’s pricing in India, Rs 89,990. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be priced competitively, starting at around Rs 90,000 only.

According to a report by 9to5Google, the Galaxy S25 Slim can measure 6.4mm in thickness. Both phones are rumoured to feature an IP68 rating for water resistance.
Furthermore, according to the leaks, the iPhone 17 Air might feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1290 x 2796 pixels. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25 Slim can get a slightly bigger 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Moving on to performance, the iPhone 17 Air will most likely be equipped with the Apple A19 chip, which can be paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, also with similar storage options.
For photography, the iPhone 17 Air can have a dual camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary camera and an additional sensor. A triple camera setup you can get in the Galaxy S25 Slim with a 200-megapixel main sensor.
Lastly, their super thin design might be a drawback for people who like long-lasting batteries. According to a recent leak by a famous tipster, DigitalChatStattion, both these smartphones will feature batteries between 3000mAh and 4000mAh. Both of them will also support wireless charging.
