The iPhone 16 lineup is just a couple of months old and the next iPhone 16 lineup is already making news. One smartphone in particular is making the most buzz- the iPhone 17 Air. Even though Apple has not confirmed that it is working on a device like this, the word on the street is that Apple can be working on a new iPhone inspired by the design language of iPad Air and MacBook Air. Recent leaks have added more to this. Let’s take a look.
Design and Display
As per leaks, the iPhone 17 Air can feature a refreshed aesthetic with a titanium frame. It can even include a larger 6.6-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. For the first time, Apple might introduce a 120Hz refresh rate to this tier.
Performance
On the performance front, the iPhone 17 Air can run on the A19 chipset which is built on the 3nm process. This upgrade is expected to enhance performance across multitasking, gaming, and graphics-heavy applications while improving energy efficiency. Machine learning advancements could further elevate features like photography and augmented reality.
Camera Upgrades
For cameras, the iPhone 17 Air can pack a 48MP primary sensor and a 24MP front camera. The camera setup is expected to be simpler than what we see on the Pro models of the iPhone lineup.
Pricing and Availability
As for the prices now, as per recent leaks, the iPhone 17 Air will replace the Plus variant. It can be priced at around $900 which is Rs 77,000 approx. In India, it could retail for around Rs 89,900.
