iPhone 17 Air price, launch date, specifications, and all other latest leaks

The iPhone 17 Air can feature an Action Button in place of the traditional mute switch.
It is expected to carry a 6.6-inch display and can include Apple’s new in-house C1 modem.
Reports also revealed that Apple considered making the iPhone 17 Air its first portless iPhone.
Just like the Samsung Galaxy Edge, Apple is also working on its new “slim” iPhone which is expected to drop with the iPhone 17 lineup. The phone will be reportedly called iPhone 17 Air and is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever, shedding about 2mm from its depth while maintaining battery life comparable to existing models. While Apple has chosen to remain quiet about this device, rumours, and leaks are surfacing online in full swing.
iPhone 17 Air expected specifications
The leaked dummy models, which were shared by Sonny Dickson suggest the iPhone 17 Air will feature an Action Button in place of the traditional mute switch, aligning with the rest of the iPhone lineup. Additionally, it will include the Camera Control button, though it appears slimmer than on other models. Despite the device’s ultra-thin build, MagSafe wireless charging will still be supported.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display, a single 48MP rear camera, and Apple’s new in-house C1 modem, which debuted in the iPhone 16e. While it won’t support mmWave 5G, it will likely offer improved connectivity speeds. The Air’s success could pave the way for a future foldable iPhone, possibly by 2026.
Also, reports revealed that Apple considered making the iPhone 17 Air its first portless iPhone, relying entirely on wireless charging and cloud-based data transfer. However, concerns over regulatory compliance in the European Union reportedly led Apple to retain the USB-C port—for now. According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, the iPhone 17 Air can be a stepping stone for Apple’s port-free vision.
iPhone 17 Air price expectation
Coming to prices now, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be priced similarly to the Plus variants. So it can be priced at around $899 which translates to Rs 77,588 approx. However, import duties can raise costs in India.
