Apple’s next big iPhone launch will be in September 2025, and all eyes are on the rumoured iPhone 17 Air. Reports suggest that the Cupertino-based tech giant might replace the iPhone 17 Plus with this ultra-thin model, marking a new direction for the iPhone lineup. Whether it happens or not, time will tell but it surely makes things interesting for the iPhone enthusiasts.
There are so many answers people would be looking for – Will a thin iPhone make any difference to their experience? How different will it be from iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro? And most importantly, how much will the iPhone 17 Air cost in India? Before we talk about that, a quick look at what we already know about the upcoming iPhone.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be just 6.25mm thick, making it the slimmest iPhone. For comparison, the iPhone 6, which previously held the record, is 6.9mm thick. This would also make the iPhone 17 Air approximately 20 percent thinner than the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus and 25 percent thinner than the Pro models in the iPhone 16 lineup.
Word has it that the iPhone 17 Air will likely be priced similar to the iPhone 16 Plus, which costs Rs 89,900 in India. Since Apple is reportedly not launching an iPhone 17 Plus, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to take its place in the lineup. This suggests a starting price of around Rs 90,000 for the Indian market.
