After two long years, Apple has introduced the next-generation affordable iPhone 16e in the global market. The new-generation iPhone 16e comes with a series of upgrades including the camera, display, design and performance over the iPhone SE 3. For the first time, Apple’s affordable device will support Apple Intelligence.

The iPhone 16e features a 6.1-inch OLED panel but retains a 60hz refresh rate. The device now gets an aluminum design with Face ID. Under the hood, the device comes with A18 chipset and 8GB RAM to support the Apple Intelligence features. The device comes with a dedicated Apple-design 5G chipset. The device also gets a USB-C port. The device offers a battery backup of up to 6 hours more than iPhone 11. However, Apple has not revealed the exact battery details at the moment. The device also gets an Action Button. The device is IP68 certified.
The device includes AI tools like cleanup tool, Image Playground, ChatGPT integration, writing tools and much more.
Speaking of the camera, the iPhone 16e comes with a 48MP primary shooter with 2x optical zoom. The device also gets a 12 MP front facing camera.
The iPhone 16e price starts at Rs 59.900 for the 128GB storage variant. The 256GB variant is priced at Rs 69,990 while the 512GB variant is priced at Rs 89,990. Customers can benefit from discounted prices by taking advantage of trade-in offers. Pre-orders for the iPhone 16e will open on Friday, February 21 at 5 AM PST (6.30 PM IST) for customers in 59 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, and the US. The device will be available on Friday, February 28.
