The countdown to the Apple event has begun and the anticipation is at an all-time high. Prior to that, the chitter chatter about the prices of the upcoming iPhone 16 series was also at an all-time high. This year, as we all know, AI will take centre stage even with the iPhone 16 series. It is even expected that because of the Apple Intelligence addition, the prices will also go up.
A recent leak from Apple Hub has revealed the speculated prices of the upcoming iPhone 16 series. According to the leak, the vanilla iPhone 16 can be priced at around $799 (Rs 66,300 approx). The iPhone 16 Plus can be priced at $899 (Rs 74,600 approx). The iPhone 16 Pro can be priced at $1,099 (Rs 91,200 approx), and the iPhone 16 Pro Max can be priced at $1,199 ( Rs 99,500 approx).
If we compare it to last year’s iPhone 15 series, the prices are the same. Even though the Indian prices are not known yet, people should expect higher prices this time. Due to additional taxes, import duties, and Apple’s unique conversion rates, the iPhone 16 series is likely to start at around Rs 80,000 in India.
But not everything’s bad news. As per reports, Apple plans to assemble iPhone 16 Pro models in India this year, which could help mitigate some of these additional costs. Media reports suggest that because of this Apple can reduce the prices of the iPhones by Rs 6,000.
As for the specifications, all four iPhone 16 models are rumoured to be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset. Moreover, the Pro models are said to have a bigger size this time – 6.3-inch for the Pro and 6.9-inch for the Pro Max. Next, all four iPhones can feature a better and brighter display. And lastly, there is going to be a lot of AI, or I should say ‘Apple Intelligence’.
We should wait for some time and until then we should take this with a pinch of salt. In a few days, we will have the actual prices. Stay tuned for all the iPhone 16 updates.
