Apple is gearing up for the release of its highly-awaited iPhone 16 series. While the tech giant hasn’t officially announced anything about the launch event, there are a lot of rumours and leaks revealing what to expect from the iPhone 16 series.

iPhone 16 series: Launch date and sale
A recent report by Bloomberg revealed that Apple could hold its biggest product launch event of the year on September 10th and the new iPhones could go on sale as soon as September 20th.
iPhone 16 series: Expected price
As per the rumours, the price of the standard iPhone 16 is expected to start at $799, just like last year. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Plus might also begin at the same $899. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to start at $1,099 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max might be priced at $1,199. The rumoured pricing is the same as last year.
So, if we talk about prices in India then the iPhone 16 might debut for Rs 79,900, the iPhone 16 Plus for Rs 89,900, the iPhone 16 Pro for Rs 1,34,900, and the Pro Max for Rs 1,59,900.
It’s worth noting that the iPhone 16 Pro models might debut with a higher price tag.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: Expected specs
The iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus smartphone models are expected to be powered by the A18 chipset with 8GB of RAM. While the vanilla iPhone 16 might sport a 6.1-inch display, the Plus variant could feature a 6.7-inch screen. The standard model could pack a 3,561mAh battery and the Plus model might come with a 4,006mAh battery.
For photography, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup. The setup might include a 48MP primary wide camera with an f/1.6 aperture and up to 2x zoom and an ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 0.5x zoom.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max: Expected specs
The iPhone 16 Pro phone is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max might sport a 6.9-inch screen. Rumours suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to feature the industry’s thinnest bezels.
Both Pro models in the iPhone 16 series are expected to come equipped with the A18 Pro chipset. The Pro variant might pack a 3,355mAh battery and the Pro Max could get a 4,676mAh battery.
The iPhone 16 Pro and and the iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to sport a triple-rear camera setup, comprising a wide camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto camera. The Pro models will likely feature the same 48MP primary sensor but might feature a 12MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom. The ultra-wide camera could see an upgrade to 48MP with pixel-binning technology.
Also, the Pro models of the iPhone 16 series are expected to support Apple’s ProRaw photos and a new JPEG-XL image format. They might also support 3K video recording at 120 fps with Dolby Vision.
