As September is approaching, all eyes are on Apple as it usually drops a new iPhone lineup in that month. As usual, Apple has its lips sealed and is not telling us anything. But that doesn’t stop the rumour mill, does it? A lot of information is circulating on the internet about the iPhone 16 Pro, let’s see what we know so far.
If we look at Apple’s timeline, it drops the new iPhone series generally in September. This year it is expected to drop the new iPhone series between September 3 and 11. First things first, from WWDC 2024, we know that iOS 18 will make its way to iPhones. We will also get AI features with this launch on the iPhones, but most likely they will be limited to the Pro variants.

Let’s start with the design first, the titanium frame might be retained but we might get to see smaller 1.2mm bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro might also pack a slightly larger 6.3-inch display, which is an increase from the 6.1-inch. It can come with a 19.6:9 aspect ratio. Apple may also employ Micro-Lens Array (MLA) OLED technology, which might make the screen 20% brighter, potentially reaching 1,200 nits for standard brightness.
Coming to my favourite part, the main camera might be the same 48MP on the iPhone 16 Pro but we might see an upgrade on the ultra-wide camera, which could upgrade to 48-megapixels from 12-megapixels. We might also get a periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom on it.

Lastly, if we speak about the price point, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to start at around $999 in the US and approximately ₹1,34,900 in India.
