The iPhone 15 series was just launched last month and the hype knows no bounds. People are still syncing it in and now we hear that Apple has already started to work on the next iPhone series. Even though nothing has been communicated from Apple yet, rumours and leaks have started to circulate on the internet. Well leave it to Apple, it won’t say a word until the day of the launch.
We have also spotted some rumours and leaks of the iPhone 16 series on Tom’s Guide. Let’s see what we know so far about the upcoming iPhone16 series.
First up, let’s talk about the design of the iPhone 16 series. Will we get to see an updated display or the same usual stuff? Well, if these rumours are to be believed the iPhone 16 could replace even the dynamic island with an under-display face ID and a singular punch out for the camera. Well, Apple isn’t too quick to change the display, let’s say what happens.

Currently, the iPhones come in two sizes – 6.1 and 6.7 inches. Rumours suggest that Apple could increase the size of its smartphones with the iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 16 series could offer two new sizes, the iPhone 16 Pro apparently measuring 6.3 inches and the iPhone 16 Pro Max 6.9 inches. For the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus however, we could get the same display size.
Furthermore, Apple could also incorporate the MicroLED display with the next iPhone 16 lineup. This is mostly doubtful though.
Apple just recently debuted the ‘Action Button’. With the iPhone 16 series, Apple could get more adventurous and come with a ‘Capture Button’. This has been already spotted on some prototypes and the name suggests that it could be a shutter button for the camera. But do we really need it?
Speaking of the chipset, Apple could upgrade to the A18 Bionic or the A18 Pro for the Pro models. For the other variants, we could get the A17 chipset, just like Apple did with the iPhone 16 series.

Lastly, speaking of the release and price point. If Apple follows its usual timeline then we could get the iPhone 16 series by next September. And as far as the prices are concerned, we haven’t spotted any rumours about that. So we can assume that the price could be around $800 for the entry-level model, with Pro models costing $1,000 – $1,100. Nothing is known yet.
It is still too early to figure out what Apple plans on doing. Let’s wait and see.
