After a lot of waiting, rumours, and leaks, the iPhone 16 is finally out. Apple has launched its new iPhones during its Glowtime event 2024 at Apple Park, Cupertino. This time, the tech giant has primarily focused on AI aka Apple Intelligence on new iPhones. Like last year, there are four new iPhones this time as well; the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 Pro models are now bigger than their predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro is 6.3-inch and the Pro Max is 6.9-inch now. You also get a new “camera control button” now on the right side of the frame, which allows you to take photos, record videos, adjust camera settings, and more. They are equipped with a Grade 5 Titanium frame and come in four colour options: Black Titanium, Blue Titanum, Natural Titanium, and White Titanium. Both the smartphones run on Apple’s latest iOS 18 which gives them a lot of cool AI features.
Moreover, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED displays that support Dolby Vision and up to 120Hz refresh rate. They are equipped with Apple’s 3nm A18 Pro chipset. A 3367mAh battery powers the iPhone 16 Pro which promises up to 24 hours of battery life.
For photography, Apple has upgraded the 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor on the iPhone 16 Pro models. They are now equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with up to 5x optical zoom. For selfies, they still pack 12-megapixel selfie shooters. Not only this but Apple has also leveled up the photography game in the Pro models by introducing new features.
