iPhone 16 likely to launch in September: 3 things to expect

We are just a few months away from September and do you know what that means? Yes, the new iPhone lineup will drop! Since the iPhone launch is so close now, the internet is ablaze with leaks and rumours about the upcoming iPhone 16 series. So on that note, here are three things you can expect from it. Good or bad, you decide.

3 expected iPhone 16 features

Improved display

Let’s start with the display first, one of the most talked about upgrades, something that everyone wants on the upcoming iPhone. We could get to see enhanced display technology with the upcoming iPhone series. Apple might introduce the ProMotion displays even for the budget offerings- i.e., the vanilla and plus variants. For the uninitiated, ProMotion tech offers up to 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models might feature an LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) backplane, which enables variable refresh rates. And lastly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max can feature a 6.9-inch display.

Upgraded Camera

We might also get to see an improved camera module. According to leaks, the upcoming series can feature a significant camera upgrade, including larger sensors and improved optical zoom capabilities. We might get to see a boasted periscope lens, offering up to 10x optical zoom, on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is also expected that computational photography and low-light performance will be enhanced too.

A17 Bionic Chip

On the performance front, we might get to see the introduction of the A17 Bionic chip. This will be Apple’s latest and most advanced processor. It will promise enhanced and more efficient performance.

But let’s not get all too excited as these rumours will not be proven true until September. All we can do is wait and count the days.
