September is just two weeks away now, and as the month comes closer, the hype around the iPhone 16 series is growing too. Rumours and leaks are hyping us up even more. Now, new leaks that have come across on the internet give an even closer look at what the vanilla iPhone 16 can look like. Reddit user Kaxeno (u/kaxeno5) shared alleged hands-on images of what appear to be iPhone 16 dummy units.

iPhone 16 expected changes

These images give us a glimpse of the rear panel of the iPhone 16. There are two colour options here: classic black and white. Even the camera module has a new look. Here we can see a vertical camera setup with two lenses. The pill-shaped camera module design me of the iPhone X. If rumours are to be believed, it might support spatial video recording—a feature currently limited to the iPhone 15 Pro models. The flash has been repositioned too and is separate from the main camera module.

Apart from this, the iPhone 16 is expected to be available in vibrant blue, green, and pink shades too. According to previous leaks, the phone will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display.

The Action button, which is limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max right now, will also be added to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. They are expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 Bionic chip, built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are likely to run on an even more powerful A18 Pro chip.

There’s still some time before Apple drops the iPhone 16 series, until then a lot of rumours will keep circulating. I will suggest that you take it all with a pinch of salt.
