Apple is just two months away from launching the iPhone 16 series. As we all know when this time arrives, older iPhones get cheaper. Basically, it is the best time to buy an iPhone if you don’t want to spend too much. In addition to that, Flipkart is currently offering a heavy discount on the iPhone 14 Plus. This smartphone was launched two years back and runs on Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset. Even though it is on discount, there’s a catch.

Let’s talk about the discount first. Flipkart has listed the iPhone 14 Plus for Rs 55,999. Since it is two years old now, the price has dropped to Rs 55,999 from the original price of Rs 89,900. Now apart from the price drop, you can get up to Rs 1,500 discount through bank cards. Moreover, the exchange offer is also available that promises an off of up to Rs 50,000.
Now, let me tell you the specifications of the iPhone 14 Plus.

The iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display that supports 60Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10. It is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset and comes in three storage variants: 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB. The rear camera setup includes a 12-megapixel main 1/1.7-inch sensor and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view. For selfies and video calls, it sports a 12-megapixel shooter as well. Lastly, the iPhone 14 Plus is packed with a 4323mAh battery.
Now the main question is should you buy it for Rs 54,499? Well, I wouldn’t do that, and here’s the reason.
Should you buy it?
As I mentioned above, the iPhone 14 Plus is a two years old smartphone. This means that you will also get fewer software updates with the phone now. Similarly, at this price range, if you wish to buy an Android phone then you can grab a better deal. The OnePlus 12 and iQOO 12 are the flagship phones launched in January and December. Both smartphones are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and also have a better battery and camera than the iPhone 14 Plus. So this was our opinion, however, if you are a big Apple fan, this iPhone deal is not that bad.
