iOS 7.1 shows lesser app crashes in iPhones and iPads: Crittercism

Overall performance of iPhones has increased significantly since the release of iOS 7.1. According to performance monitoring firm Crittercism, the reason is lesser app crashes reported in the latest update of iOS.

Crittercism says that as compared to over 2 percent app crashes in iOS 7 and below versions, iOS 7.1 has registered under 1.6 percent of app crashes. A known bug which was reported to rebooth iPhones running iOS 7 has also been fixed which has also affected the overall performance. Apple had also announced that there will be an improvement in performance of the iPhone 5s Touch ID fingerprint reader which has also been fixed in the latest update.

Users around the world have been updating their iPhones soon after the release of iOS 7.1.

Crittercism has also noted that many iOS 6 users, who have been waiting to upgrade, have also started upgrading their iPhones to the latest version.

Chitika, an online advertising network, shows that Apple users are rapidly adopting iOS 7.1. The network puts the number of hotly updated iOS devices accessing its ad network at 12% just 48 hours since Apple released the new operating system.

The latest update was released by Apple almost a week ago. Other improvements include a better Siri integration, better fingerprint memory and better built-in calendar. The new update also enables iPhone 5S users to automatically enable HDR photography when using the camera.
