Apple has finally rolled out iOS18. The latest software upgrade promises a whole lot of new features, in addition to Apple Intelligence. If you have already updated to iOS 18, I am going to share five cool features with you that you should definitely try out and make your iPhone experience a lot better. Let’s get straight to business.

Customise your home screen

With iOS 18, you can finally do what Android users have been doing for years. You can customise the home screen, resize icons, add tints, and create custom widgets too. To do this, simply long press on the home screen. You will then see the ‘Edit’ option in the top-left corner. Then just adjust the settings and play around to create a custom home screen per your liking.

Redesign your lock screen

Not just your home screen, you can even customise the lock screen. You can now change the shortcuts on the lockscreen. So this means that you can change the traditional flashlight and camera shortcuts. You can also enable dark mode or turn your iPhone into an Apple TV remote directly from the homescreen.

Customise the flashlight

With iOS 18 you will also get a dynamic flashlight feature. You can use this feature with the iPhone’s Dynamic Island. Now you can not only adjust the brightness but also customise the spread of light by swiping horizontally.

Revamped Control Centre

Even in the Control Centre, you can now customise grids, add or remove tools, and even create multiple sheets for controls. Simply swipe into the Control Centre and tap the plus sign to add, remove, or resize icons.

Lock or Hide Apps

If you are one of those who are very conscious about their privacy, you can lock or hide apps with iOS 18. Hidden apps won’t appear in notifications or searches and can only be accessed through a hidden folder. This hidden folder is secured by Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.

Go ahead, try these features out!
