A new octa-core touting phablet has hit the town, the Intex Aqua Octa, running on a 1.7GHz octa-core processor by MediaTek for Rs.19,999

Intex had shown off its first octa-core processor running prototype back in November last year and now the company is all set to launch its first device. The Intex Aqua Octa has been officially announced at a price tag of Rs. 19,999 and as the name suggests it runs on an octa-core processor.

The Intex Aqua Octa  comes with a 6-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD OGS (One-Glass Solution) IPS display, dual-SIM (GSM GSM) capability, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. For the camera lovers, there is a 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash at the back and a 5-megapixel camera in the front. The phablet draws its power from a 2300mAh battery.

Like the usual trend of colours, the Intex Aqua Octa will be available in Black and White colours and the company has announced that it will officially hit stores from January 15. However we noticed that the phablet is already available online through Snapdeal.

Recently Gionee had launched the E7 mini with a similar MediaTek octo-core processor for Rs.18,999.
