Intex has announced the launch of two new smartphones – Aqua Lions X1+ and Aqua Lions X1 – ahead of the festive season. The highlight of the new Aqua Lions X1+ and Aqua Lions X1 is their shatterproof display, which the company claims are unbreakable and even offers one-time screen replacement that can be availed within a year. The Moto X Force and Moto Z2 Force are the two other smartphones offering shatterproof displays, but command a premium pricing.
Intex Aqua Lions X1+ and Aqua Lions X1, on the other hand, are entry-level smartphones priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 7,499 respectively. In terms of specifications, the Aqua Lions X1+ and Aqua Lions X1 feature a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Aqua Lions X1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the Lions X1+ offers 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Both the models support expandable storage up to 128GB via SD card slot.
On the camera front, both Aqua Lions X1 and Lions X1+ offer a 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front camera with flash. Both devices run Android 7.0 Nougat and come preloaded with Prime Videos, which allow users to enjoy unlimited access to stream and download their popular movies or TV shows. Other preloaded apps include MiFon Security and Swiftkey keyboard.
The Aqua Lions X1+ and X1 also feature a fingerprint sensor, which can also be used as a shutter button within the camera app. Last month, Intex had launched Aqua Lions 2 but these are the first in the series to feature fingerprint sensor. Other features include DataBack, a Data Saving service, which apparently can save up to 500MB free data every month. The Aqua Lions X1+ and Aqua Lions X1 are backed by a 2800mAh battery and will be available in Black, Champagne and Blue colour.
