Intex has launched a new budget smartphone, the Aqua G2. The device is priced at just Rs. 1,990, and is available in Champagne and Grey colour variants. For this price, buyers will get a 2.8-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240×320 pixels. The Aqua G2 is is powered by a 32-bit single-core RDA 8810PL chipset with 256MB RAM and Vivante GC860 GPU. The phone is equipped with 512MB of storage, out of which 57.1MB will be available to the user. However, the storage can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD cards. The phone runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2.

The Intex Aqua G2 comes with VGA cameras located on the front and back of the device, along with an LED flash for the rear camera. It is equipped with an 1100mAh battery, and the company says that it offers about five hours of talktime. The phone supports dual-SIM, but only offers 2G connectivity. The phone also comes with a gravity sensor, Bluetooth EDR 2.1 and FM radio. The phone comes loaded with basic apps such as Gmail, Play Store and Opera Mini already installed.
