Infinix Mobile has announced its flagship, Zero 5 smartphone, in India today. The device comes with dual cameras on the back and 6GB RAM, under the Rs. 20,000 price tag. The device will be accompanied by the Infinix Zero 5 Pro, which has 128GB storage. The company has affixed 12MP and 13MP cameras on the back. The primary 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor has 1.25 micron pixel size, while the secondary sensor is a Samsung S5KM3 unit with 1 micron pixel size. The secondary sensor is also accompanied by a telephoto lens with f/2.6, which allows the Zero 5 to produce portrait shots and optical zoom.
While the dual-camera setup is indeed the USP of these smartphones, the Infinix Zero 5 is also one of only two phones in the sub-20k segment to sport 6GB of RAM. The Zero 5 will be sold in 6/64GB configuration at Rs. 17,999, while the Zero 5 Pro has 6/128GB configuration and is priced at Rs. 19,999. The phones will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from November 22 onwards.
Further, the Infinix Zero 5 has a 5.98 inch display with 1080p resolution and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass on top. The company claims the display is capable of 500 nits brightness and the phone has a full metal unibody design. There’s a 16MP camera on the front, with the Samsung S5K3P8 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The device weighs just under 200 grams.
Next, the phone also has a 4350 mah battery, charged via a USB Type-C port. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, clocked at 2.6GHz. You get two SIM card slots on the device and a dedicated micro-SD slot.
Alongside the Infinix Zero 5, the company also announced a range of noise cancelling headphones, called the Infinix Quiet 2 and Quiet X. The headphones are priced at Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 6,999, respectively. As a launch offer, Infinix is offering the Quiet 2 headphones at Rs. 1,499 and the Quiet X for Rs. 4,999 with every purchase of the Infinix Zero 5. Both the headphones sport active noise cancellation technology.
