Infinix has announced the launch date of its latest entry-level smartphone in India. This is the Infinix Smart 8 HD, which is expected to launch under ₹7000. Infinix is all set to roll out the Smart 8 HD in India on December 8. Ahead of the launch, the Honk-Kong-based company has revealed the key specifications of the smartphone.

The Infinix Smart 7 HD was launched in India at a price of ₹5,999. The upcoming successor is also expected to be priced around the same. The brand is claiming that Smart 8 HD will launch with significant upgrades if compared to its predecessor.

Infinix Smart 8 HD vs Infinix Smart 7 HD

In a press release, Infinix confirmed the display specifications and design of the upcoming smartphone. By the looks of it, the Smart 8 HD seems to carry a new design. It will come in four colours; Crystal Green, Galaxy White, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black. On the back, there is a square camera island, which consists of three camera rings. One of them has a ring light over it. In the Smart 7 HD, there were two camera rings and a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the camera module.

Speaking of the front, the Smart 8 HD will feature a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Whereas, its predecessor had a water-drop notch.

Apart from the design, Infinix also revealed the display specifications of the Smart 8 HD. However, the display is still pretty same. Both smartphones feature a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display that comes with 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. Both displays also support up to 90Hz refresh rate.
