Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is likely to have the same design as the Redmi Note 4 and maybe powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC
Xiaomi has been in the news lately for its upcoming smartphone, the Redmi Note 4X. Alleged images of the same surfaced yesterday on the web showcasing the phone face down in a new green and black colour schemes. The phone looks like the Redmi Note 4 from the back and considering the images we previously encountered in the TENAA leak, it is likely that the design of the phone will remain unchanged. Even the placement of the fingerprint scanner, camera as well as the rear LED flash remains identical to the Redmi Note 4.
The upcoming smartphone however is supposed to be a beefier version of the Redmi Note 4, which is less powerful when compared to its predecessor. If rumors are to be believed, the Redmi Note 4X will solve this by featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. It should be noted that back in December, when the phone was first spotted in TENAA, it housed a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. It is likely that India might not see the MediaTek variant of the device if and when the phone is launched.
Like the current Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi may launch the Note 4X with varied RAM and storage combinations. The device is expected to feature the same 13MP rear and 5MP front facing camera as on the Note 4, along with the 4100mAh battery pack.
Xiaomi will announces the Redmi Note 4X today in China, but there is no word when the phone will launched in other markets, especially India.
