Idea Aurus 4, 4.5-inch dual-SIM 3G smartphone launched at Rs. 8,999
In a bid to boost 3G adoption and its user base in the country, Idea is offering yet another self-branded smartphone below Rs.10k.
Idea Cellular has launched a new 3G smartphone, called the Aurus 4. Priced at Rs. 8,999, the Idea Aurus 4 supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM.
The Idea Aurus 4 sports a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It has 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. The smartphone comes with 4GB ROM (2GB available for end user) and supports additional storage up to 32GB via microSD.
In terms of connectivity, the Aurus 4 supports 3G, EDGE, Bluetooth and micro USB. The smartphone comes with an 1800mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 4 hours of talktime on 3G and 7.5 hours on 2G.
Idea is offering 1.6 GB per month for 3 months on 3G/Unlimited data on 2G for first 3 months with the new Aurus 4 smartphone. The operator also offers access to Idea TV Rs. 150 pack p.m. free of charge for 3 months. For postpay users, 1.6GB 3G data per bill cycle for 90 days/Unlimited 2G data per bill cycle for 90 days and Idea TV Rs. 150 pack p.m. free of charge for 3 months.
