iBall’s mSLR Cobalt4 smartphone comes with 4 detachable lenses

iBall mSLR Cobalt4 smartphone unveiled, features a 5-inch display, 13 MP primary camera and 4 detachable mSLR lenses.

iBall has added another smartphone to its Cobalt smartphone series, called the mSLR Cobalt4 for Rs 8,499. Aimed at photography enthusiasts, the smartphone comes with four detachable mSLR lenses.

The iBall mSLR Cobalt4 smartphone has a 5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The budget device has an 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 3.2MP front camera with soft LED flash. The smartphone comes with an 8x zoom lens, fisheye lens with a 175-180 degree viewing angle, a macro lens with 10x magnification and minimum object distance of 10-15mm as well as a wide-angle lens with 130-degree viewing angle.

The smartphone has a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor with 1GB RAM and runs Android OS 4.4 (KitKat). Connectivity options included are dual-SIM with dual standby, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone supports HotKnot file transfer technology, as well as integrated proximity, ambient light, and accelerometer sensors. It offers gesture recognition features, including 'flip to mute' and is backed by a 2,000mAH battery. The company has bundled a free pouch and cleaning cloth for the lenses with the smartphone. The device offers support for 15 regional Indian languages. The iBall mSLR Cobalt4 competes with Huawei Honor 4C and Asus Zenfone 5 (8GB) in this price range.

Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall said: "We are very excited with our newest launch which revolutionizes and redefines smartphones.
