iBall launches Andi 4.3j dual-battery Android phone at Rs. 9,499

iBall has announced the launch of a new Android-based smartphone, called Andi 4.3j, featuring dual-SIM and dual batteries. The device has been priced at Rs. 9,499.

The iBall Andi 4.3j runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor. It has a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen (no word on resolution), 5 MP camera, 2GB internal storage, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot that supports additional storage up to 32GB. The device supports 3G, Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE for connectivity.

The most notable feature of the iBall device is the dual-battery – one 1,630 mAh and another 900 mAh battery, which together give output of 2,530mAh battery.

“We are excited to launch for the first time in India a dual Battery smart phone. Battery backup is the major problem to the smart phone users. Realizing the high utility of smart phones, long hour chatting and longer browsing we have launched this stylish dual battery phone to provide unhindered and seamless usage,” Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall is quoted as saying.

Though it has larger battery back up, the iBall Andi 4.3j is slightly priced higher at Rs. 9,499. In the same price range, there are devices such as the Karbonn A18 featuring Android 4.0 ICS, dual camera – 5MP rear and 1.3MP front, dual-SIM, 1,500mAh battery (read our review here) whereas the Micromax Superfone Canvas A100 features 5-inch display, Android v4.0, dual-SIM and 2,000 mAh battery.
