Huawei is all set to launch its Mate 10 smartphone lineup at its event on October 16. A recent tweet by the frequent leakster Evan Blass revealed that Huawei is preparing to launch two more variants of their upcoming flagship other than the Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro. One of the two new variants reported is a watered down version of the Mate 10, allegedly dubbed the Mate 10 Lite (codename Rhone). The fourth smartphone’s name has not been revealed yet, however, the leakster claimed it’s codename Marcel.

A recent report by VentureBeat revealed entire specifications of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite. The website claims that the smartphone codenamed Rhone, will be the most inexpensive device from Huawei’s Mate lineup, but features some interesting hardware. The device will be featuring an 18:9 "FullView" display and a quad camera setup, a person informed of Huawei’s plans stated to the website.

The Huawei Mate 10 Lite is said to sport an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and a full-metal unibody. The smartphone is expected to sport a 5.5-Inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2160 resolution, which is higher than the standard FHD display rumoured in the regular Mate 10 (codename: Alps). An interesting feature of the smartphone is its camera. The Mate 10 Lite will come a Quad-camera setup with a 16MP + 2MP setup on the rear and a 13MP + 2MP combo on the front. The selfie cameras will feature a "two-person bokeh effect," and a toning flash.

The Mate 10 Lite is rumoured to be powered by an 2.36 GHz Octa-core Kirin 659 processor and 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage. The device is expected to be powered by a 3340 mAh battery and work on EMUI 5.1 atop Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-box. Huawei is expected to launch the Mate 10, Mate10 Pro, Mate 10 Lite and the unnamed mystery variant of its Mate 10 series on October 16 in Munich, Germany.
