Huawei P8 Lite (2017) launched with 5.2-inch display and Kirin processor
Huawei P8 Lite (2017) is the successor to two year-old P8 Lite smartphone
Huawei has added another smartphone to its mid-budget category. Huawei P8 Lite (2017) replaces the two year old P8 Lite, and seems like a refined version of the Huawei P9 Lite. Huawei P8 Lite (2017) will hit European markets first, followed by other regions.
Huawei P8 Lite (2017) features a 5.2-inch full HD display and has a glossy panel similar to Jet Black iPhone 7. The rear looks similar to Honor 8 with prominent placement of the fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is powered by company's own Kirin 655 processor aided by 3GB RAM and 16GB storage.
As far as camera is concerned, Huawei P8 Lite (2017) sports a 12MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front snapper for selfies. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Huawei P8 Lite (2017) runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which is interesting considering most smartphones still come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone is priced at €239 and will be available in EU markets by the end of January.
According to MobileGeeks, the smartphone will also be available in Latin America under the 'Honor' brand name. Huawei has been expanding its smartphone portfolio significantly and has even managed to be profitable.
Huawei is rumoured to introduce P10 series at Mobile World Congress with new Leica branded image sensors. Huawei MWC 2017 event takes place on February 26 and we could see introduction of the P10 Lite at that time.
