Huawei P10, Watch 2 to be unveiled at MWC 2017
Huawei CEO confirmed the launch of the Watch 2 on his Weibo page, while the launch of the P10 was confirmed via a teaser video on YouTube
Huawei has confirmed that it will launch the P10 smartphone and the Watch 2 wearable at MWC 2017. Company CEO, Richard Wu confirmed the launch of its wearable on Weibo along with a teaser showing a man running and looking at his wrist. Details of the Huawei Watch 2 are not known yet, but the teaser suggests that the device may feature fitness tracking abilities. Yu also says “Made for Free Spirits” in his post, hinting at the possibility that the device may be able to work without the need to be connected to a smartphone. The Watch 2 will most likely come with Android Wear 2.0, which already supports installation of apps directly on the wearable.
The confirmation of the launch of the Huawei P10 comes via a teaser video that the company posted on YouTube. The teaser involves the same two concentric circles and is pretty similar to the campaign the company used to promote the Leica-branded dual cameras of the Huawei P9. The P10 will most likely feature the HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC, which is used in the Huawei Mate 9. The P9 was one of the best camera phones to be launched last year, and the company may be hoping more of the same from its successor. The company is scheduled to hold its event on February 26.
