Huawei Nexus 6P shipments delayed, confirms Flipkart
Users who pre-ordered the Nexus 6P on Flipkart have been informed by the retailer of a delay in shipments of the device.
Shipments of Huawei’s Nexus 6P smartphone for India have reportedly been delayed. According to a report by Gadgets 360, users who had pre-ordered the newest Nexus smartphone from Flipkart, have been informed by the e-commerce giant, that there has been a delay in the shipments from the manufacturer.
Twitter user Debasis Dutta shared a screenshot noting that Flipkart has changed the delivery date to November 20. The e-commerce giant wrote, “There was a unforeseen delay in shipping from our seller. Our sincere apologies for this delay. We are working to ensure that we deliver by November 20 Friday and avoid such delays in future."

Further, P Sanjeev, Sales Director, Huawei India, posted on Facebook on October 18, that the pre-bookings for the Nexus 6P had exceeded the company’s expectations and that the company is working on deliveries. Sanjeev also wrote that firm dates were expected the following week. In addition, yesterday, Sanjeev wrote on Facebook that the shipments for both online and offline arrival of the Nexus 6P were the same and that transit to various cities will add to the end time.
Huawei had earlier announced that it would make the Nexus 6P available in batches in India. This came after users were disappointed by the limited availability of the device when it went up on pre-orders.
The delay in shipments though isn’t the only problem that the Nexus 6P is facing. Recent reports suggest that like last year’s iPhone 6 Plus, the Nexus 6P is also prone to bending, starting an entirely new bendgate controversy. A bunch of videos online show the Nexus 6P bending in people’s hands.
While this year’s Nexus smartphones have received better response than last year’s Nexus 6, such issues could hurt sales. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, also mark the first time that two variants of Google’s Nexus phones have been launched. While the Nexus 5X is made by LG, the 6P comes from Huawei’s stables.
