Chinese manufacturer Huawei has introduced a new smartphone called the Enjoy 5 in China. The phone is priced at CNY 999, which is about Rs. 10,200 by direct conversion. The highlight of the device is the large 4000mAh battery, which is said to deliver about 10 days and 12 hours of standby time. The phone comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs EMUI 3.0 that is layered over Android Lollipop v5.1. The Enjoy 5 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC and 2GB of RAM. At the back of the phone is a 13MP camera, while there is a 5MP camera on the front. The phone also comes with 16GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support as well as LTE capability.

If Huawei does decide to launch the Enjoy 5 in India, it will be up against a number of budget smartphones like the Gionee Marathon M4. The Marathon M4 also comes with a 5000mAh battery as compared to the 4000mAh battery found on the Enjoy 5. It also comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display and 16GB of internal memory. At the back of the Marathon M4 is an 8MP camera while there is also a 5MP front camera. Gionee has already launched the Marathon M5 in China. The M5 comes with a huge 6000mAh battery, which the company claims is enough to power the phone without charge for almost four days even with heavy use. The phone can also be used as a powerbank to charge other devices. The M5 is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM. It also comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED HD screen with a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera.

Last week, Huawei’s Honor brand had launched the Honor 7 smartphone in India. The phone comes with an all-metal uni-body design along with a 5.5-inch FHD display. It is powered by a Kirin 935 SoC along with 3GB of RAM. The device comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Honor 7 also comes with a 20MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera. The phone is launched at a price of Rs. 22,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart.
