Huawei has unveiled a new Android smartphone called the B199. The new smartphone is considered to be successor to the A199, which was launched in April last year. The Huawei B199 supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with the company’s Emotion UI 2.0, and is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor.
The Huawei B199 has a 5.5-inch 720p display. The smartphone features 13MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. The smartphone comes with a 3,000 mAh battery, which can also be used to charge other devices.
The smartphone is expected to start selling in China later this week, but there’s no word on global release.
Huawei recently announced the Ascend Mate 2 4G phablet at the CES 2014. The smartphone has a 6.1-inch 720p display, powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with custom Emotion UI 2.0.
The Ascend Mate 2 4G features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0, 28mm lens, Sony sensor and 1080p video recording. The phablet has a 5MP, f/2.4 front-facing camera with 1.4µm pixels. The Ascend Mate 2 4G has 16GB built-in storage, and supports microSD for additional storage.
