Huawei's Ascend P7 has been officially launched in India. Huawei says the smartphone will compete against the likes of LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One M8.

Huawei has officially announced the launch of its Ascend P7 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 24,799, the Ascend P7 will be available from this month.

The Huawei Ascend P7 has a 5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs  Android OS 4.4.2 software customised with Huawei’s patented Emotion UI 2.3 and is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM.

The smartphone comes with 8MP BSI Front camera and 13MP rear camera.

It is powered by a  2500mAh battery. The Ascend P7 supports 4G LTE Cat4 supporting FDD band 3 that Indian operators are expected to launch during 2015. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G.

Huawei says the Ascend P7 is set to compete against the likes of LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2 and Gionee Elife E7.
