Huawei announces a new Intel Core m powered hybrid tablet called the MateBook with prices starting from $699
The MateBook is a new 2-in-1 hybrid tablet by Huawei. It has a full aluminium unibody metal design, is 6.9mm thin, weighs 640gm and will be coming in two colour options. It features a 12-inch display which has a resolution of 2160 x 1440p. The display covers a 85% colour gamut and also has 84% screen to body ratio which is greater than competing tablets such as iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4. The Huawei MateBook is powered by a 6th gen Intel Core m processor and will be available in dual core m3, m5 and m7 processors.
The MateBook features a high density 4430mAh battery which Huawei claims can provide 10 hours of battery life. The company also announced a Stylus accessory called the Mate Pen which has 2048 pressure levels and also works as laser pointer. Huawei claims that, one hour charge will provide one month of usage. The tablet has a fingerprint sensor which resides on the right edge of the tablet. To add more productivity to the tablet, Huawei also introduced a MateDock, docking station which has —ÂÂ a USB Type-A port, USB Type-C port, a micro USB port, ethernet jack and a battery pack. The hybrid tablet will be running on Windows 10 Home and Pro. Huawei has also announced a keyboard case for the tablet which will be available in four colours.
