HTC’s next flagship to be announced on April 12
HTC’s upcoming flagship is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 820, and might feature a 12MP UltraPixel camera.
After months of rumours and leaks, HTC has finally revealed that it will be announcing its next flagship on April 12. The HTC One M10, or HTC 10, will be launched simultaneously in three locations — New York, London and Taipei. HTC shared this information via its Twitter handle, where it stated, “We admit it. We’re obsessed …. but in a good way.” Whatever that meant, but HTC is likely to bring the phone to India within a few months.
HTC 10 has been in the rumours for a while, and going by the leaks, HTC might keep the design and metal build similar to its previous flagship phones. On the contrary, its specifications have been highly speculated. Rumours suggest that the HTC 10 might have a 5.1-inch 2K display with Super LCD 5 display panel. It is expected that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is being used by almost every other flagship smartphone. It might sport 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. The device is likely to house a 3000mAh battery, and like last time, will possibly be offered in multiple colours. We can be sure that HTC will launch the phone with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Earlier, HTC teased about the camera of the upcoming phone, suggesting it will have “World Class” rear camera. Rumours suggest that the phone might have a 12MP UltraPixel camera with f/1.9 lens at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. HTC’s Chief Financial Officer, Chialin Chang, suggested earlier that the company’s future products may come with a “compelling” camera experience.
