HTC has slashed price of its Wildfire S smartphone by approximately 30 percent. The HTC Wildfire S, which launched in India with an MRP of Rs. 14,700, is now available for Rs. 10,990 via online shopping site Saholic. Other major online retailers, Flipkart and Infibeam are selling the device for Rs. 11,300 and Rs. 13,499 respectively.
To refresh your memory, the HTC Wildfire S was launched as an upgrade to the original Wildfire in May last year.
The Wildfire S comes with a 3.2-inch Gorilla Glass covered touchscreen with a 320×480 resolution. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Wildfire S is powered by a 600MHz processor.
The HTC Wildfire S sports a 5MP camera with LED flash. It has 512MB of RAM and ROM. For connectivity, the device supports 3G, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and EDR, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The Wildfire S’ resembles its predecessor Wildfire, with the following dimensions – 101.3 x 59.4 x 12.4 mm. The device comes with 1,230 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, and 360 hours of standby time, in 2G mode. The Wildfire S is available in four colours – black, brown, lilac and silver.
