HTC Ville leaked; a super-slim Android Ice Cream Sandwich device due in 2012
Reports and images of a device called the HTC Ville are all over the web, showcasing a new super-slim Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered offering from the Taiwanese giant. The leaked device, expected to release only after MWC in 2012, ties in statements by HTC’s CFO Winston Yung, when he spoke about his company releasing “worldwide flagship products” at the event.
On surface value, and with a grain of salt, the HTC Ville certainly looks to be a killer device, with a super-slim form factor of less than 8 mm at its thickest, and purported specs including a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Series 4 processor running at 1.5GHz, a massive 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, HSPA connectivity, as well as an 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording.
The HTC Ville will reportedly ship sometime in April, with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Sense 4.0 and Beats Audio processing technology onboard. It also features a 1,650 mAh battery, and so should hopefully manage to provide some decent battery life. Do stay tuned for more information about the device, whether leaked, or official.
