HTC U11 Plus is reportedly codenamed OCean Master and will be the first smartphone from the company to adopt the new bezel-less design. The smartphone will offer flagship specifications and debut on November 11.

HTC's first smartphone with nearly bezel-less design and a display with taller aspect ratio may arrive in November. According to a French Website, the Taiwanese smartphone maker is working on a flagship device codenamed Ocean Master with thin bezels and could launch it as the HTC U11 Plus in China on November 11. The company is also rumoured to be working on an Android One device codenamed HTC U11 Life.

The Taiwanese giant announced yesterday that it is signing an agreement with Google to sell its smartphone division, but announced that it will be launching a flagship smartphone of its own. The new report says that HTC U11 Plus will sport a 5.99-inch display with Quad HD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. The display is said to be made by Japan Display and sport the new 18:9 aspect ratio.

The U11 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset and will likely have 4GB or 6GB RAM, and the option for either 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The U11 Plus will follow the design trend of 2017 with thinner bezels, but it is not likely to adopt a dual camera setup. The HTC U11 Plus will have a 12MP rear shooter, also found on the company's current flagship U11. The front camera department is said to be taken care of by an 8MP image sensor.

The U11 Plus will be IP68 water and dust resistant and feature the squeezable frame, like Edge Sense on the U11. It might debut with Android 8.0 Oreo considering the company has confirmed its Oreo update roadmap for U11, U Ultra and last year's HTC 10. It will support Qualcomm's QuickCharge 3.0 and will arrive in China first. It is not clear whether HTC plans to launch the U11 Plus in other markets considering Google's takeover.
