HTC U Ultra, the latest flagship smartphone from the Taiwan-based company, is now available for purchase in India. The smartphone was announced in February at Rs 59,990 (MOP), and is now available from HTC India's e-store.
Back in January, HTC had announced U Ultra and U Play smartphones with focus on a new AI assistant called Sense Companion. The HTC U Ultra features a metal-and-glass unibody design and is available in Blue and Black colour options. The smartphone also features a secondary display similar to LG's V20 smartphone for quick access to notifications and app shortcuts.
The HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 processor. The display is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The handset offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with support for expandable storage of up to 2TB. The U Ultra features a 12MP optically stabilised rear camera with phase detection and laser-assisted autofocus. The sensor also comes with large 1.55 micron pixels, dual-tone LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. The HTC U Ultra sports a 16MP front camera with UltraPixel and beautification mode. It houses a 3000mAh battery and uses a USB-C port for charging. The HTC U Ultra's home button also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor and supports BoomSound technology. The company is also bundling HTC USonic earphones with the device that analyses the user's inner ear via a sonar-like pulse, and adapts the audio accordingly.
With the purchase of the U Ultra, HTC is bundling 1-year insurance covering liquid or physical damage. The company is also offering a 7.5 percent cashback for buyers using Standard Chartered Credit or Debit Cards.
