HTC U 11, the next flagship smartphone from Taiwanese smartphone maker recently appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform. The smartphone set to launch on May 16 posted a decent set of numbers and has now made its way through Antutu to reveal its specifications.
The Antutu listing suggests HTC U 11 will offer a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. The benchmarked device offers 4GB RAM, 64GB storage but it is likely to arrive in other storage options as well. The listing reveals it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with HTC's Sense 9 skin on top.
The HTC U 11 is likely to offer a 16MP rear camera and a 12MP selfie camera. This contradicts what the retail packaging spotted by MySmartPrice suggests. According to the retail packaging, the handset will offer 12MP main shooter HTC's UltraPixel 3 branding, OIS and f/1.7 aperture. The selfie camera is said to be 16MP with f/2.0 aperture and support for selfie panorama. The retail packaging leak also hints at option for a 6GB RAM variant and IP57 water resistance. While HTC U 11 is offering top-notch specifications, the highlight will be the new Edge Sense feature.
According to Blass, the smartphone will feature frame-embedded sensors – allowing users to navigate the device by squeezing or swiping along its edges. The support for gesture-based navigation is said to be baked into Sense 9 user interface. The smartphone is said to sport a design similar to that of the HTC U Ultra and will likely come in white, black, blue, red, and silver colour options.
