The HTC Radar was first introduced to world along with another Windows Phone Mango offering – the massive 4.7-inch display-bearing HTC Titan. The HTC Radar is a much smaller device, with a 3.8-inch S-LCD display that boasts of the same resolution as the Titan, at 800×480. On face value, the Samsung Omnia W is a similar phone, with a 3.7-inch (800×480 pixel) S-AMOLED display, along with a 5MP autofocus camera capable of 720p HD recording, document editor, and 8GB of storage. It even contains the same Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset with Adreno 205 graphics and 512MB of RAM. However, it has a faster 1.4GHz processor. Its lower price, compared to the HTC Radar, therefore becomes quite a plus point in its favour. HTC’s distinctive styling on the Radar though, with the aluminium unibody design, could be sufficiently attractive for the consumer, as well as the better camera – the 5MP offering on the HTC Radar has a 28mm lens with a F2.2 aperture, promising great photos in various conditions.
