If the rumors are correct HTC will be announcing a Windows Phone version of its One M8 smartphone. Images have surfaced of a new HTC One M8 amidst the pre-existing rumors of an upcoming Windows Phone device from HTC. The phone in the leaked images seems to have some added design elements as compared to the original One M8.
According to sources, the HTC One M8 (Windows Phone version) will come with a 5.5 inch QHD display, 3 GB of RAM and improved LTE connectivity. It is rumored that if HTC is actually making a Windows Phone, it might ditch the ultrapixel camera sensor and go for a regular one instead.
The phone in the leaked images seems to have the same footprint as the HTC One M8 but without the premium looks. It seems to have a plasticky look to it with a protruding camera at the back. The original One M8 had a brushed metal body which looked and felt premium whereas the leaked images of the 'Windows' One M8 doesn't look that premium from the images we have seen so far. Sources say that the phone will made from “exotic materials” like a composite of Aluminium and Silicon.
We are not sure if the company is actually making the device and if so, if it will be in fact running Windows Phone but the leaked images make it more likely that HTC is actually working on a new device.
