The HTC One (M8) is one of the best looking Android devices that we have tested and when we heard that a plastic version of the smartphone was announced, we were eager to know if the smartphone would arrive in India or not.
An official invite from HTC for the 11th of July gives us a hint that HTC might just be getting the One (E8) to the Indian market. The smartphone has already been announced in China and has been doing quite well as 50,000 Units of the One (E8) were sold in just 15 minutes. The smartphone share its looks with the One (M8) but instead of the brushed metal back, it will feature a polycarbonate finish.
The specs include a 5 inch SLCD 3 display with a full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) resolution, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8975AC) processor with 2GB of RAM and the Adreno 330 GPU. The rear camera system has been replaced with a 13MP camera sensor and the front has the same 5MP camera. The handset runs on Android 4.4 KitKat along with Sense 6 UI on top.
Along with the One (E8) we expect that HTC will announce the Desire 616 which is a mid-range smartphone sporting a 5-inch 720p display, 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear and a 2MP front-facing camera, 4GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), and a 2000mAh battery.
All will be revealed on the 11th of July, so stay tuned.
