HTC gears up for ‘Double Exposure’ event on October 8
HTC has sent out invites for an October 8 event titled 'Double Exposure'. While the company has revealed very little, it does not stop the press from speculating.
HTC is gearing up for an October 8 event in New York City. The company has sent out invitations to the press with a message stating – Double Exposure, and has sought selfies from the invitees along with their RSVPs. The invite also has models taking selfie through a HTC phone.
HTC's new press invite has triggered a host of speculations. It is being speculated the company may reveal an updated duo camera set up, or a major upgrade in image quality for the front-facing camera. There are also speculations that HTC might announce attachable lens, similar to the Sony QX1.
HTC has focussed on camera performance and features on its recent smartphones. It tried something different with ultra pixels, ditching the traditional megapixels. On the latest M8, HTC added a second depth of field sensor, for delivering better quality images.
In a related development, NVIDIA has revealed the long-rumoured HTC Nexus 9 tablet, powered by a Tegra 1 chip, will be released in the third quarter of this year. But it's highly unlikely the company unveils the device at the October 8 event.
