HTC EVO 4G storage bug revealed and apparently patched!

HTC EVO4G – 8GB microSD model

The latest revelations indicate that HTC’s innovative marvel Evo 4G, seems to have hit a roadblock with the 8GB microSD model. Apparently, the 8GB microSD model was reportedly found to spring up unexpected errors regarding “insufficient file permissions” when attempting to write or upload data into the last few bytes of the card. While it is said that, some other users indicated that the phone failed to read the card altogether. Looks like the HTC spokesman provided a sigh of relief to the disappointed HTC Evo 4G users saying that, they have identified the cause of the issue and there would be an OTA fix released “very shortly”.

However, for those who have already purchased the 8GB model of Evo 4G and those planning for a purchase need not panic. As it has been reported that one of the users could successfully install the 13MB OTA update (version 1.32.651.6), that promises to include a number of fixes including the storage bug fix. While the update is not yet been fully tested, we could hope for a better bargain in the trade-off between 8GB model and the 32GB model.
