HTC’s Desire X is now available in India via online retailers such as Flipkart and Snapdeal at Rs. 19,799. Snapdeal is offering a free Itech Bluetooth worth Rs. 3,499 with the Desire X. HTC is expected to formally announce the launch of the device in the country next week.
HTC had announced the Desire X smartphone at the IFA event held earlier this year. The Desire X runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with HTC Sense UI 4.0 on top. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and has 768 MB of RAM.
Other specifications of the device include 4.0-inch capacitive touch screen with 800 X 480 pixels resolution, 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, built-in Beats Audio support, 4GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 32GB. The device comes with a 1,650 mAh battery.
For connectivity, the HTC Desire X supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2Dp and aptX audio and GPS. The HTC Desire X comes in Blue and White colours. Check out the full specifications of the Desire X here.
HTC’s new device comes shortly after the company unveiled its Jelly Bean-based HTC One X . The device, considered to be an improved version of the original One X, features 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 along with a front facing 1.6MP camera that does video at 720p@30fps. The One X also has an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with the companionship of 1GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of memory onboard, which is not expandable.
