HTC has launched the Desire 728G Dual SIM in India. The device has been priced at Rs. 17,990 and is available in Purple Myst and White Luxury color variants. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 SoC with 1.5GB of RAM. It also comes with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. The Desire 728G Dual SIM comes with a 2800mAh battery which HTC claims can offer up to 21 hours of talk time. At the back of the phone is a 13MP camera while at the front is a 5MP camera. The phone also features HTC’s BoomSound technology and Dolby Audio, but the phone does not support 4G. The device runs Android Lollipop v5.0.2 with HTC Sense 7 layered on top.
For its price, the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM would be up against the OnePlus X and the Moto X Play. The OnePlus X is priced at Rs. 16,999 and comes with a 5-inch Full HD screen and a glass back. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM. At the back of the device is a 13MP camera while there is an 8MP camera in the front. The Moto X Play comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen and is launched at a price of Rs 18,499 for the 16GB variant. The device is powered by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 SoC with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with a 3630mAh battery which motorola claims can offer users 30 hours of use between charges.
A flyer of a new HTC phone called the One X9 was also leaked today. Rumours suggest that the upcoming phone will be powered by either a Snapdragon 820 or a MediaTek X20 with 4GB of RAM. It is also tipped to offer storage from 64GB to 128GB. Other rumours suggest that the phone will have a 5-inch QHD display with a 23MP rear camera.
